Highlights of Kraków — 5-day guided tour

Our flagship Kraków programme in the style of an international guided tour: four nights in one central 4* hotel, a Local Expert on every sightseeing block, Wawel and Kazimierz, Wieliczka Salt Mine, an Auschwitz-Birkenau study visit and a Highlander folk evening in Zakopane — with a Tour Director travelling with the group throughout.

Step-by-step agenda

  1. Day 1

    Welcome to Kraków

    Airport transfers, hotel check-in, walk to the Main Market Square with the Tour Director and a welcome dinner of regional dishes in an Old Town cellar restaurant.

  2. Day 2

    Royal Kraków & Wawel Hill

    Local Expert walking tour of the Old Town, Cloth Hall and St. Mary's Basilica, followed by Wawel Cathedral and the castle courtyards. Afternoon free or optional Vistula cruise.

  3. Day 3

    Kazimierz, Podgórze & Wieliczka

    Morning in the Jewish Quarter and Ghetto Heroes Square with a heritage guide; afternoon descent into the Wieliczka Salt Mine Tourist Route with the underground chapel of St. Kinga.

  4. Day 4

    Auschwitz-Birkenau memorial

    Full-morning educational visit with a Memorial educator and audio sets. Return to Kraków for free time; evening at leisure or optional Chopin recital.

  5. Day 5

    Tatra foothills & Zakopane

    Day trip to Zakopane: Krupówki Street, Gubałówka funicular and a farewell Highlander dinner with live folk music before the return to Kraków or departure transfers.
